Het lyrische vioolspel van Janneke van Prooijen is geliefd bij publiek en medemuzikanten. Zij is \u00e9\u00e9n van de meest veelzijdige violisten van haar generatie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ze studeerde bij Jaring Walta en Ilya Grubert en volgde masterclasses bij Herman Krebbers, Pavel Vernikov, Neli Schkolnikova en Johannes Leertouwer. Kamermuzieklessen volgde Janneke bij Istvan P\u00e1rk\u00e1nyi. Voor haar examen uitvoerend musicus ontving zij het Stipendium van de Vrienden van het Rotterdams Conservatorium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haar muzikale belangstelling reikt van hedendaagse muziek via romantische en klassieke hoogtepunten tot jazz-, pop- en zigeuner- en ge\u00efmproviseerde muziek. Ze werkte met vele  internationale en nationale componisten: Gy\u00f6rgy Kurt\u00e1g, Sofia Goebaidoelina, Kunsu Shim, Gerhard Staebler, Frank Denyer, alsook Merijn Bisschops, Morris Kliphuis, Froukje Verhagen, Willem Boogman, Arnold Marinissen, Piet-Jan van Rossum, en stond op het podium met zigeunerviolisten Roby Lakatos en Gregor Serban.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ze is hartstochtelijk kamermusicus: Janneke is eerste violiste van The Atlantic Pianotrio, Prisma Strijktrio en Ensemble Lunatree, en ze maakt deel uit van het Tim Kliphuissextet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daarnaast is ze regelmatig gast bij het Matangi kwartet, het Doelen kwartet en het Doelen Ensemble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Als concertmeester en dirigent-vanaf-de-stoel van Lisa Jacobs\u2019 String Soloists werkte Janneke mee aan zeer lovend ontvangen cd\u2019s met vioolconcerten van Locatelli en Haydn, alsmede aan de cd \u201cConcerto M\u00e9tis\u201d van gitarist Enno Voorhorst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Janneke was gastconcertmeester bij Amsterdam Sinfonietta, ASKO\/Sch\u00f6nbergensemble en het Metropole-orkest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ook als solist is Janneke veelgevraagd: ze soleerde met De Koninklijke Luchtmachtkapel, Amsterdam Sinfonietta, het Hollands Vocaal Ensemble, het Ives Ensemble, het Ricciotti Ensemble en kamerkoor Attacca. Recent voerde zij \u201cMemo\u201d van Michel van der Aa voor vioolsolo uit in het 1-daagse festival \u201cDe Grote Oversteek\u201d van Lunatree in \u2018s Hertogenbosch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2015 bracht Prisma Strijktrio zijn debuut-cd \u201cVoyage\u201d uit met muziek van Jean Cras, Ravel, Ockeghem en verhalen van A.L. Snijders. Naar aanleiding daarvan was Prisma te gast bij diverse radio en televisieprogramma\u2019s (Muziekwijzer, Vrije Geluiden, De Tiende van Tijl). De cd werd door het blad Luister bekroond met een 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Op verzoek van Tijl Beckand (presentator De Tiende van Tijl, cabaretier, oud-lama) heeft Janneke samen met The Atlantic Trio, het Nederlands Blazersensemble en Maarten Koningsberger de cd \u00a9Beckand met muziek van diens overgrootvader Charles Beckand opgenomen.
